How to manage time when life is crazy?

Do you always think that you can't do everything you had to or you wanted to in one day. That there is not enough hours for you to complete your tasks. Me too I have this same thought everyday. I have problem juggling with my studies, personal life and wanting to have adventure and trying to build my blog. Let me tell you it is a mad house. Sometimes I neglect my friends and not talk to them for weeks or I go out and neglect my studies and blog. I did not have a balance in my life.


After some trials and errors, I found what makes me more productive and have more balance. Hope you get some ideas from this:


1. Set realistic goals

Everytime people would say set goals I just pack on my day and then be unmotivated to do anything as there was so much to do. It would just give me anxiety and I would make myself feel bad. So I just set 5 goals per day and then if I have time to do more it is a bonus but I don't pack my day.


2. Avoid distraction

Your phone and laptops are the biggest distraction when you are trying to revise. For me time to time I would check on my phone or watch a movie while revising and in the end, I end up not revising. I just switch off my laptop and put my phone in airplane mode so that I don't get notifications.


3. Put a timer

I recently find a lot of people set a timer for a certain period of time and then move on to another thing. I put an alarm for 2 hours for revision and in these 2 hours I would just concentrate on my studies and then I would take a 30 min break to clean the house or walk my dog out. Then I would continue revising for 2 hours and then move on to my blog. Just doing the revision for 4-6 hours straight makes me crazy.


4. Plan ahead

I learnt that planning for the next day gives you a good head start. You already know what you are doing and you can mentally prepare yourself for what's coming.


5. self care

While you are taking care of the work aspect of your life, just don't neglect self care. Working out, meditation are not wasting your time. They help you be more focus but in fact helps you to concentrate more. I take 1 hour for working out and running per day but you could just do 30 mins. In 24 hours you can surely find 30 mins to meditate or workout right?
