Tuesday tip: How to fix a bad day

Having a bad day is when a lot of things happen badly and it just RUIN your day. That is what happened to me and I was in a really bad mood. I did not want to talk to anyone. I was feeling irritated. Life is rough and every once in a while you will have a bad day. It may feel like there is no solution, everything is wrong. Every little thing that goes wrong just adds in your bad day. You are not alone and everyone has those days.

Here is what I usually do to get through the day.


1. Find the cause of what's bothering you.

To be able to fix a bad day you have to know the cause of what's actually bothering you. Finding the problem is one step ahead of fixing this bad day. Whether it is a fight you got or tiny little things that had just added up and became a big problem.


2. Meditate

Sometimes when I get up, I instantly know that today is going to be a bad day. I just meditate for 10 to 20 minutes and feel more calm and focused. Meditation help me understand and be more aware of myself.


3. Just get it out of your mind

Write in your diary or talk to someone. Talking to someone is such a relief. I know in the moment you don't want to see or talk to anyone. But believe me talking helps. Just talk to someone you trust like a best friend, life partner or family members. If you feel like you don't have that person that you trust, don't worry that person is going to come in your life. For the time being just writing in your diary or a piece of paper. Just write without any hesitation what you are feeling.


4.Don't wallow for a long period of time

I was recently watching Kalyn Nicholson on youtube and she said, don't wallow for more than 1 hr. It is enough. If you go beyond that and if you keep yourself in that cycle of unhappiness, nothing good is going to come out of it.


5. watch your favorite movie

Watching your favorite movie just instantly brings you happiness. I feel like I'm in my happy place. It is a specific movie that I love watching and all the time I'm laughing. Just watch the one that you love and it does help in improving a bad day.


6. Go for a run

I usually just go for a run blasting some music. I feel really relaxed afterwards. If you are not into writing your thoughts, running is also very therapeutic. It is you and only you at this moment. It helps to figure out things. When I have a lot of things in my mind

I love going for runs. This year I decided to go for a run 5 times a week and I feel like this has helped a lot for my stress and problems.


7. Read a book

Reading books helps me escape a bit the bad day. I get so engrossed in the book that I forget my problems. If you are fan of books I would suggest reading one.


8. Pamper yourself.

Treat yourself with your favorite food or dessert. I would go for a donut in bad days.


9. Let it go

Scream out loud, removing all that frustration of this bad day but don't take your anger and frustration on others. They didn't do anything to hurt you. Others have no control in your bad day so you don't have to be your punch bag.
